What is Robo War & Combat Robotics?
Robo War is a combat robotics competition where remote-controlled armored vehicles battle inside an enclosed, impact-resistant polycarbonate arena to disable or immobilize the opposing machine using kinetic weapons, wedges, or pushing dominance.
Typical Combat Arena & Match Format
Arena & Track Layout
Battles occur inside a fully sealed enclosure with thick polycarbonate walls (minimum 6–12 mm) and steel blast deflectors. Arenas frequently feature hazards like pit holes, floor flippers, or spinning floor drums.
Match & Round Structure
Matches last 2 to 3 minutes. Victory is declared via knockout (opponent immobilized for 10 seconds) or judge's decision based on aggression, damage, and control.
Scoring & Penalties
If neither robot is knocked out, three judges award points categorized by Damage dealt (active weapon impact), Aggression (continuous engagement), and Control.
