What is Robo Sumo Competition?
Robo Sumo is a competitive event where two robots attempt to push each other out of a circular ring (Dohyo) in an autonomous or RC duel, relying on high downward magnetic force, razor-sharp front ground wedges, and ultra-high-friction silicone wheels.

Arena & Track Layout
The Dohyo is a circular wooden or steel platform (typically 154 cm diameter for standard 3 kg class, or 77 cm for mini sumo) painted matte black with a 5 cm high-contrast white border ring line.
Match & Round Structure
Matches consist of three rounds of up to 3 minutes. The first robot to win two rounds by pushing the opponent out (touching any part of the floor outside the ring) wins the match.
Scoring & Penalties
Yuko points are awarded when the opponent touches the floor outside the ring boundary. If neither robot exits, judges decide based on aggression and center-ring dominance.

- 1Calibrate line sensors to white ring: ensure line sensors detect white boundary edge in under 2 milliseconds and execute instant emergency reverse/spin routine.
- 2Maintain clean tire surfaces: wipe silicone wheels with isopropyl alcohol before each bout to eliminate all dust particles that reduce surface friction.
- 3Sharpen the front wedge: ensure the front wedge contacts the surface with zero gap across its entire width to prevent opponent wedges from getting underneath.
